About SB1231: Makes it unlawful for a person who is an alien to enter Arizona from a foreign nation at any location other than a lawful port of entry. Outlines penalties for violations of illegally entering Arizona and provides immunity from civil liability and indemnification for state and local government officials, employees and contractors who enforce this prohibition.
Soft on Thieves and Sex Criminals
Marsh’s votes are making life easier for dangerous criminals.
Marsh voted NO on tough minimum probation for sex offenders (SB1155)
About SB1155: Prohibits a person who is placed on lifetime probation for a sexual offense from petitioning the court to terminate the probation before prescribed periods of time, with certain exceptions. Requires the court to check and to place on the record that the court is not aware of any pending criminal charges against a person on probation for a felony sexual offense before the court can modify or terminate the person’s probation.
Marsh voted NO on tougher penalties for repeat retail thieves (SB1414)
About SB1414: Requires a person who is convicted of a third or subsequent violation of organized retail theft with the intent to resell or trade the stolen merchandise to be sentenced as a category two repetitive offender.
Supports Tax Increases
Marsh wants you to pay more in taxes, as a time when Arizonans can least afford it.
Marsh voted NO on eliminating taxes on food, at a time when Arizonans are facing the highest inflation in the nation (SB1063).
SB1063: Prohibits a city, town or other taxing jurisdiction from imposing a municipal transaction privilege tax on the sale of food items intended for home consumption.
Marsh voted NO on speeding up tax relief for Arizona small businesses (SB1260)
Marsh called accountability for school spending “laughable” and said misspending scandals are “going to happen no matter what.”

About HCR2023: The 2024 general election ballot is to carry the question to allow a property owner to apply for a primary property tax refund for taxes paid to a local government if the receiving entity adopts a pattern or policies enabling a public nuisance and the property in question is reduced in fair market value because of those actions, or the property owner incurs expenses because of said actions.
